At the recently inaugurated 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE), HTDK, in partnership with Sofwave Medical Ltd, a global leader in producing energy-based non-invasive medical beauty devices, showcased their products in the innovation incubation zone. Leveraging CIIE’s world-class platform for displaying and trading medical innovation technologies, HTDK embraced the spirit of “New Era, Shared Future” to accelerate the localization of innovative medical technologies in China, building a bridge for the accessibility of high-value medical devices in the country.
Launch of Sofwave at CIIE
The innovation incubation zone (medical field) was first established at CIIE in 2021 and was held for the second time this year. It aims to create a world-class platform for displaying and trading medical innovation technologies, establishing a national-level market access and incubation empowerment system for medical innovation technologies. This initiative supports the creation of a high-level medical innovation market in the new era, contributing to the advancement of Healthy China and benefiting numerous medical professionals and patients.
As a representative of the innovation incubation zone (medical field), HTDK focuses on the rapidly growing medical aesthetics sector, which is attracting significant capital and market interest. “The medical aesthetics industry is experiencing rapid growth. The increasing demand for aesthetic treatments is driving the growth of energy-based aesthetic devices, primarily imported devices, which are favored by consumers for their safety and effectiveness,” said Teresa, CEO of HTDK, in an interview. At the CIIE, HTDK showcased the latest ultrasonic treatment devices from Sofwave Medical Ltd, a market leader in the ultrasound-based anti-aging sector.
Sofwave, known for its energy-based non-invasive medical beauty devices, utilizes innovative 3D ultrasound technology to deliver effective anti-aging treatments without trauma or recovery time, representing the future direction of the global medical aesthetics field. The ultrasonic treatment device, showcased at the innovation incubation zone, attracted widespread attention for its breakthrough 3D ultrasound technology, enriching the diversity of exhibited medical products and providing a leading example for the innovation and upgrading of medical aesthetic devices in China.
“We are delighted to bring this leading technology to China through the CIIE innovation incubation zone. We look forward to the support of various stakeholders in the Chinese medical industry to help Sofwave Medical Ltd products take root in China,” said Teresa.
According to the innovation incubation zone (medical field) organizers, the exhibited projects at this event showcased unique technological innovations, clinical urgency, and leading technological advantages. These projects include products involving Nobel Prize-winning technologies, materials engineering, genetic technology, biosensing, AI deep learning, and biomaterials. Covering high-end implantation products, diagnostic, testing, and treatment equipment, and health and rehabilitation equipment, these projects align with China’s 14th Five-Year Plan for high-end medical equipment, setting a benchmark for medical device innovation and upgrade.
Strategic Partnership and Market Penetration
In August this year, HTDK signed an exclusive strategic cooperation agreement with Sofwave Medical Ltd for the mainland China market. With professional end-to-end commercial solutions and extensive distribution capabilities, HTDK will expedite the registration approval of Sofwave Medical Ltd’s products by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and accelerate their comprehensive commercialization in China.
“We have officially started the registration process for Sofwave Medical Ltd’s products with NMPA. Their extensive clinical trial data and real-world usage feedback can greatly assist the NMPA in making informed approval decisions. We look forward to introducing these innovative ultrasound-based anti-aging products to China soon, benefiting more people with the concept of ‘rejuvenation made simple’,” said Teresa.
