During the two-day event, a series of thought-provoking sessions featured some of the industry’s most prominent voices. Highlights included:

1. Exploring China’s MedTech Market Potential – James Deng, Senior Vice President of BD and General Manager for Greater China, delivered the forum’s opening keynote. His insights into the MedTech landscape underscored the tremendous opportunities for growth, innovation, and strategic partnerships in China’s evolving market.
2. Investment Insights from Warburg Pincus – Fang Min, Partner and Co-President of China Private Equity at Warburg Pincus and President of HTDK, led a deep dive into China’s investment outlook for MedTech. Fang highlighted the robust potential for innovation and cross-border collaborations within China, illustrating Warburg Pincus’s commitment to fueling growth in the region.
3. Manufacturing and Market Leadership – Linna Fu, Staar Surgical China’s General Manager, highlighted successful strategies for multinational companies in China, emphasizing local adaptability, clinic education, and alignment with market needs.
4. Europe-China MedTech Collaboration Panel – Teresa Chen, CEO of HTDK, joined a strategic panel discussion moderated by Zhen Xiao, CEO of the Swiss Center, with insights from Nicolas Panzer of Switzerland Global Enterprise. The panel explored the vast potential for innovation and cooperation between European and Chinese MedTech industries, underscoring the value of cross-border partnerships in driving innovation.

On November 5, the International Medical Innovation and CIIE Medical Innovation Incubation Zone Seminar hosted an Innovation Product Roadshow Day. After several months of evaluation, the CIIE Alliance Medical Device Special Committee’s review group (comprising representatives from industry leaders such as BD, Medtronic, Siemens Healthineers, HTDK, and others, along with Mr. Shen Xuming, Partner at Mednovation) selected 12 products to participate in this roadshow from among the applications submitted to the CIIE Innovation Product Zone. The products featured span various specialized fields, including aesthetic and reconstructive medicine, ophthalmology, in vitro diagnostics, respiratory disease treatments, hemodialysis equipment, and cardiovascular health.

The event was vibrant, showcasing the broad application of AI, big data, and cloud computing technologies in healthcare. Cutting-edge innovations such as AI-supported holographic microscopy and a new proton therapy for cancer treatment made their debut, driving the evolution of medical technology towards smarter, more precise, and efficient solutions. After voting and deliberation by the jury, four awards were presented: the “Best Technology Innovation Award,” the “Most Influential Award,” the “Most Investment Potential Award,” and the “Best China Practice Award.” Congratulations to all the award-winning innovative companies!
