On April 15th, HTDK announced the signing of a Biopharmaceutical Supply Chain Service Cooperation Memorandum with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Group Co., Ltd. As the first pharmaceutical logistics company to operate in the Waigaoqiao Port Comprehensive Free Trade Zone, HTDK will manage a state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical logistics distribution center in the region.

Currently, HTDK’s logistics distribution center within the Free Trade Zone includes a 6,000-square-meter biopharmaceutical warehouse and a 500-square-meter hazardous materials warehouse, with further upgrades underway. These enhancements will better accommodate the stringent temperature and cleanliness requirements necessary for biopharmaceutical product storage and logistics. As an integral part of diversifying the trade methods and service systems in the Free Trade Zone, the logistics distribution center will inject fresh momentum into the high-quality development and high-level openness of the Waigaoqiao Port Comprehensive Free Trade Zone.

HTDK’s logistics distribution center is one of eight key projects signed as part of the Waigaoqiao Port Comprehensive Free Trade Zone’s development. The official unveiling of the Free Trade Zone on April 15th marks the transformation of China’s first bonded logistics park, the Waigaoqiao Bonded Logistics Park, into a Comprehensive Free Trade Zone.

A representative from the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Administration emphasized that the eight key projects, including HTDK’s logistics distribution center, stand out for their scale, high capabilities, strong driving force, and exemplary leadership. As an important component of both the Pudong region and the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, the Waigaoqiao Port Comprehensive Free Trade Zone will leverage its “bonded +” functions to promote the integration of industrial, supply, value, and innovation chains. The zone will explore new, innovative development paths that emphasize differentiated competition and leadership, creating valuable pilot experiences and providing new models for China’s ongoing reform and opening-up efforts.
