On June 15, HTDK was awarded the Shanghai “Regional Headquarters of Multinational Companies” Certificate during the 35th certificate awarding ceremony for regional headquarters and R&D centers of multinational companies. HTDK was among 30 multinational company headquarters and 10 R&D centers to receive this prestigious certification. HTDK CEO Teresa Chen attended the ceremony and accepted the certificate from Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng.
This recognition is part of Shanghai’s initiative to encourage foreign investors to establish headquarters in the city, enhancing its status as a global hub for science and technology innovation. The companies receiving certificates represent key industries in Shanghai’s development, including biopharmaceuticals, intelligent manufacturing, and high-end services, with many holding leadership positions in their respective sectors.
HTDK, as China’s leading cross-border commercial solutions platform, has been expanding its investment in Shanghai in recent years, establishing its regional headquarters and flagship logistics operation center. The company is committed to introducing cutting-edge global medical devices to the Chinese market.
HTDK’s origins trace back to the century-old Swiss company DKSH, which began operations in China decades ago. In 1996, the company set up its Shanghai branch in the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone. Today, HTDK is one of the few platforms capable of providing end-to-end commercial solutions, covering product registration, import/export, warehousing, distribution, channel management, inventory control, and after-sales services. With extensive experience in supporting global brands’ cross-border operations, HTDK has established long-term partnerships with numerous clients across multiple specialties, including ophthalmology, in vitro diagnostics, orthopedics, cardiology, and more. HTDK’s clients include global industry leaders such as Alcon, MicroVention, Illumina, Smith & Nephew, Roche, Abbott, and Procter & Gamble.
Teresa Chen remarked, “We are honored that HTDK has been recognized as a regional headquarters for multinational companies, which is both a tremendous honor and a testament to our capabilities in cross-border commerce. Moving forward, HTDK will continue to increase its investment, further developing its Shanghai headquarters into a commercial and operational center for medical devices in Shanghai, China, and beyond. Our goal is to contribute to the growth of the medical device industry in Shanghai and China while enhancing the accessibility of global innovative medical devices for the Chinese market.”
